For students to advance to thr rank of Genin they are sorted into teams. Naruto is put into Team 7 with Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha. Naruto clearly does not want to be associated with Sasuke, and Sakura does not want to be on the same team as Naruto.

All three soon find out they have been assigned to the same team to balance one another out. As the three begin working together, it becomes clear that Naruto likes Sakura but loathes Sasuke, Sakura is infatuated with Sasuke but dislikes Naruto, and Sasuke wants nothing to do with either one..

Episode 2 - My Name is Konohamaru!

Naruto befriends Konohamaru, grandson of the Third Hokage. Upon meeting Naruto does not let Kanohamaru tell him what to do and puts him in his place. This reaction causes Konohamaru to be inspired by Naruto. He asks Naruto to teach him where he ends up learning one of Naruto's "special" techniques... sexy jutsu. Through Naruto's influence, Konohamaru is able to accept that he cannot follow in his grandfather's footsteps by his name alone.

Episode 1 - Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!

Konoha (The Village Hidden in the Leaves) was attacked by a vicious Nine-Tailed Demon Fox. In a final act to defeat the demon, the Fourth Hokage sealed its essence within the body of a baby boy.

Enter Naruto Uzumaki-After Naruto fails to graduate from the Ninja Academy for the third year in a row, he is left vulnerable giving Mizuki, an instructor at the Academy, a way to persuade Naruto to steal a scroll that unveils a forbidden technique.

Iruka Umino discovers what is happening and sets out to protect Naruto from Mizuki. Using the special technique from the scroll, Naruto defeats Mizuki, and Iruka allows him to graduate.
